Pisa Tours
Pisa is one of the oldest and most iconic cities in Italy, located in the western part of the country, in the region of Tuscany. It is also the birthplace of Galileo Galilei. Famous for its world-renowned landmarks, stunning architecture, and rich cultural heritage, Pisa is a must-see destination for anyone traveling through Italy.
When you think of Pisa, the first image that comes to mind is the Leaning Tower of Pisa—a true symbol of Italy. Standing nearly 57 meters tall, the tower was originally designed by Bonanno Pisano, though its construction stretched over nearly two centuries. As of 2025, the bell tower leans about 4 degrees from vertical. Interestingly, the tilt began shortly after the completion of the first level. While attempts to correct the tilt started as early as 1270, significant improvements weren’t achieved until the late 20th century when engineers reduced the lean by 50 centimeters by removing soil from the northern base.
